Chicago

Stephen has been out of town for a couple of days in Chicago for work. Even though it's only two days, we still miss him like crazy around here! I think Daniel gets crankier at night when he doesn't get to have playtime with his dad. I can understand that! I'm well aware that I'm not nearly as much fun as Stephen ;)

Every time Stephen goes on a business trip I always get to thinking that he travels the perfect amount at his job. He probably goes on a trip once every couple months or so. It's fun for him to be able to travel every now and again because it breaks up the monotony of the daily grind, and he gets to see lots of places he normally would never go. But I'm glad he doesn't have to leave very often. We kind of like having him around ;)

8 Months

Can you tell I was having a hard time getting him to smile? That's what teething and a missed nap will do to you! Probably poor timing on my part to try and snap a few pictures. Oh well, we'll just have memories of his cranky side

Christmas in Littleton

 We got to spend Christmas in Colorado this year with Stephen's family! It was great because his whole family was able to make it (including Meg and Eric which was a complete surprise to most of us!). We were so happy they made the sacrifice to come. I doubt the whole family will all be under one roof again like that for a long time. But hopefully we can make it happen again because it was great. Stephen, Daniel and I were able to fly which made the trip quick and convenient for us, which was a blessing. Daniel did great on his first flight...granted it was only about an hour so it wasn't stressful at all. And I think Daniel loved his first Christmas! He loved being around so many people all the time, which made it a lot of fun :)

A little story for ya: these are the boots I got for Christmas and I wore them that same day when we went out caroling and stuff. Here are the compliments I got on them from three of my awesome brother in laws. 1.)"Awesome boots Emily, you look like you're in the Hunger Games!" 2.) "Hey those boots are pretty cool, they remind me of a storm trooper or something." 3.) "Hey you know what those boots remind me of? That part when he's emptying the rocks out of his boots on the Princess Bride." Thanks guys, I wear them with pride now :)

New Years Day

On New Years Stephen and I took Daniel to the park to swing. We got some pretty cute shots of the tiny one :)

Most of the time Daniel looks straight down at the ground when he swings, but every now and again you can catch his face :)
