Christmas in Littleton

We got to spend Christmas in Colorado this year with Stephen's family! It was great because his whole family was able to make it (including Meg and Eric which was a complete surprise to most of us!). We were so happy they made the sacrifice to come. I doubt the whole family will all be under one roof again like that for a long time. But hopefully we can make it happen again because it was great. Stephen, Daniel and I were able to fly which made the trip quick and convenient for us, which was a blessing. Daniel did great on his first flight...granted it was only about an hour so it wasn't stressful at all. And I think Daniel loved his first Christmas! He loved being around so many people all the time, which made it a lot of fun :)

Here are the pictures:

An explanation to the sly grin on his face: he had just broken this poor reindeer apart!

Carter was so sweet and spent most of the night playing with Daniel :)

This is what Abby does when you tell her to give Daniel "loves"

Rachel's Christmas outfit!

My boys on Christmas morning :)

A little story for ya: these are the boots I got for Christmas and I wore them that same day when we went out caroling and stuff. Here are the compliments I got on them from three of my awesome brother in laws. 1.)"Awesome boots Emily, you look like you're in the Hunger Games!" 2.) "Hey those boots are pretty cool, they remind me of a storm trooper or something." 3.) "Hey you know what those boots remind me of? That part when he's emptying the rocks out of his boots on the Princess Bride." Thanks guys, I wear them with pride now :)

Stephen with his Christmas present. It's a picture I drew of him holding Daniel :)

On our way to carol at the rest home.

Daniel doing his favorite "trick". I swear this kid gets so proud of himself when he does this!

Boys and leggos :)

Eating out :)

Bekah's awesome baby shower! Also the day Charlotte was born :)

New Years Day

On New Years Stephen and I took Daniel to the park to swing. We got some pretty cute shots of the tiny one :)

Most of the time Daniel looks straight down at the ground when he swings, but every now and again you can catch his face :)

This shot is my favorite!

What Daniel's been up to lately...

Getting dressed up like A Christmas Story to go on a walk with mom and dad :)

Loving this tradition we have of "helping" me do my makeup in the morning

Eating all this baby food I made!

Listening to daddy sing

More bundled walks :)

Singing I'm a Little Teapot with the actions of course!

Helping dad do some work ;)

Six Months!

Here are Daniel's six month photos I took the other day. I'll be the first to say, that boy of ours is quite the little heartthrob ;)

And just a few things about Daniel and his six month self:

Weight: 15.65 lbs (15th percentile)
Length: 26.18 in (36th percentile)
Teeth: two on the bottom (he got the first around 4 months and the second around 5)
Favorite toy: my makeup bag and everything inside
Favorite solid food (so far): sweet potatoes or bananas...as a side note the only other things we've fed him are rice and oat cereal so it's not like the kid has a lot of options :) of course he likes the sweet ones!
Favorite book: I Can Fly
Favorite song: I'm a Little Teapot (with the actions of course!) Oh and Peace Train (of course!)

Also...

This kid LOVES his dad, he sits up like it's nothing as long as there's something interesting in front of him (like leaves), he is a morning person, he enjoys watching Jeopardy with us (probably since he's known that theme song since the womb!), he is VERY ticklish (ribs, bottoms of his feet, and his little thighs), he loves to scream and shriek when he's happy, and he'll win you over every time with his dashing good looks ;)

Everyday we fall more in love with this little boy. He brings so much light to our lives.
